Michael Jansen, Chief Executive Officer, and
Founding Managing Member of Satellier LLC is a graduate
of the Yale and Cambridge Schools of Architecture. He
has lived and worked in India and China for the last 14
years.
Trained as an architect, Mr. Jansen began
his professional career in China in 1991, where he
headed several projects in that booming market until a
Fulbright scholarship won him the chance to study
architecture in India in 1994. Mr. Jansen subsequently
remained resident in India and in 1996, at the age of
27, established an office for a US-based architectural
firm in New Delhi.
In 1999, Mr. Jansen set up his first offshore
production company which provided production services to
a top US based hospitality design firm. Over three
years, Mr. Jansen's company successfully executed dozens
of documentation packages for his first client firm, and
thereupon invented the multi-client studio model which
now forms the backbone of his organization.
Today Mr. Jansen continues to campaign for his
revolutionary concept throughout the industry, motivated
by his belief in its inherent value as a resource for
the profession.

Stephen K. Barnes, President, joined Satellier in
June 2007. Stephen holds a B.S. in Structural
Engineering from the University of Illinois, Chicago and
is a Registered Professional Engineer in Illinois and
Michigan. Before joining Satellier, Mr. Barnes held
executive vice president and senior management roles at
Austin AECOM and The Austin Company. He brings with him
comprehensive domestic USA and international experience
and leadership roles in consulting, design,
architecture, engineering, construction and design/build
services in the USA and Europe.
As a senior executive, Stephen's experience and
leadership roles has stressed employee development,
operational execution and financial results. Throughout
his career he has been responsible for strategic growth
and business positioning, business development skills
creating long term client relationships, risk management
strategies, enhanced operations through training,
quality and technology, solid growth and profitability.
Stephen has membership affiliations in the Design
Build Institute of America, The International Society of
Pharmaceutical Engineers, Chicago Building Congress, and
the National Society of Professional Engineers.
With his vast experience and expertise, Stephen is
set to lead Satellier towards achieving its long term
goals.

Paul Doherty, CTO is a registered
architect, and a 22-year veteran in AEC recognized as an
industry expert in integration of technology, process,
and business. Most recently, he served as VP for K.
Hovnanian Homes, the 6th largest home builder in the
U.S. While there, Paul managed change programs, the
development of over 400 communities, and the quality
production of over 20,000 homes. Paul has lectured at
Harvard University, Yale University, The University of
Hong Kong, and is an active leader at the American
Institute of Architects (AIA) and the International
Facility Management Association (IFMA). |

M. Anil Kumar, Chief Operations Officer, brings to Satellier nearly 20 years of comprehensive operations and human resources experience from the BPO industry. He holds a Bachelors of Engineering degree from the National Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Xavier Institute of Management, along with numerous certifications: Microsoft Systems Developer, Six Sigma Green Belt, and Export and Import Management, among others.
Mr. Kumar has tremendous talent for interpersonal management and communications, and brings solid leadership and experience in the design and delivery of operational systems and protocols to support a variety of business scenarios: company mergers, human resource procedural development and automation, migration of off-shore banking operations, ISO certification, and large-scale call centers.
Prior to Satellier, Mr. Kumar served as senior vice president of operations at OfficeTiger. He has also held senior management positions at Accenture, SCOPE International and Ajuba Solutions India. |

In his 19 years of experience in Architecture, Interior Design and Information Technology, Sean has worked with government and private sector leaders to envision, resolve and implement complex architectural and information technology solutions in ground breaking projects.
Under Sean’s leadership, Screampoint has developed into the industry leader in 5Dimensional Spatial Information Management Systems for real estate. Sean’s unique combination of real estate industry experience and technology has led to Screampoint’s collaboration with some of the world’s most influential real estate organizations on some of the most high profile projects. This list includes the New York World Trade Center redevelopment efforts, NY Times Headquarters, Time Warner Headquarters, the City of New York’s Digital City Operations System, IBM, Columbia University, Apple Computers, National Football League’s Detroit Lions, Swire Properties, Hong Kong Land, Sun Hung Kai, the City of Wuhan, Mandarin Oriental Hotels, and the Shui On Group among many others.
Prior to founding Screampoint, Sean served on the management team for over 8 years at such organizations as BSA International, Kaplan McLaughlin Diaz and Visionplanner, Inc., and was an award winning architect for over 13 years.
Sean has been a speaker regarding information technology in real estate, intelligent environments and real estate project life cycle management at such events as the Harvard University Center for Design Informatics, the national Architecture, Engineering, Construction Systems conference and Imagina, Europe’s largest digital media conference.
Sean’s permanent residence is in the USA, but travels extensively throughout the world and is fluent in English, Dutch, and Chinese.

For the past 15 years, Mikele’s career has combined urban development and business development. She was an urban planning consultant in Canada and Hong Kong, managing large-scale urban development and regeneration projects. She then worked in corporate and business development, establishing F5 Networks, now a $990M Internet Networking company, in South East Asia before moving to London to complete the Sloan Masters MSc programme at London Business School.
Mikele has extensive experience in the AEC workshare sector, having headed business development for Atlas Industries Ltd from 2004 to 2008. Mikele joined Satellier in April 2008.
